Dry Type Transformers Application and Requirements

Dry-type transformers are widely used in local lighting, high-rise buildings, airports, wharf CNC machinery and equipment. In short, dry-type transformers refer to transformers whose cores and coils are not immersed in insulating oil. There are two types of cooling methods: natural air cooling and forced air cooling. When cooled by natural air, dry-type transformers can operate continuously for a long time with a fixed capacity. Forced air cooling increases the output capacity of the transformer by 50%. Suitable for intermittent overload operation or emergency overload operation. Due to the load loss and the substantial increase of the impedance voltage during overload, it should not be in a non-economic state and cannot be continuously overloaded for a long time.

Dry-type transformer body: copper wire is used for high-voltage coiled wire, and copper foil is used for low-voltage coiled wire. The coil is made of fully vacuum imported epoxy fiberglass. It should have strong rigidity and mechanical strength, good short-circuit resistance and balanced ampere coil count for high and low voltage coils. The epoxy fiberglass blend has the same coefficient of thermal expansion as the copper conductor to avoid coil cracks. High heat dissipation performance. A temperature display control system is set up, and the temperature of the three-phase coiled wire of the transformer is automatically displayed. The temperature controller will automatically signal when the temperature has reached the limit. Controls fan operation, over temperature alarm and functional protection, and provides two passive contacts for automatic start of the substation ventilator. The iron core and all exposed metal parts should be protected from corrosion. The sign is made of stainless steel. Important data of the transformer are shown on the nameplate according to the reference. The boxes are assembled on site from stainless steel sheets. With a communication 485 interface, the transmission status can be transmitted.

When the fan is running without 100% load, the dry-type transformer does not overheat. When the fan is running normally, allow 50% overload operation. The high-voltage transmission line is the cable that meets the needs of the upper and lower power supply lines, and the low-voltage power supply line is the groove and the top and outlet of the busbar. There are temperature measuring devices and temperature control boxes.
