Dry Type Step Up Transformers Judge Faults By Sound

The dry type step up transformer has no noise at all during the operation period, which is also a normal situation, but sometimes there will be a lot of noise. You can tell whether the transformer is faulty by the sound. This kind of noise when the dry-type transformer is in operation indicates that your dry type step up transformer is broken.

Dry type step up transformers are noisy. If the noise of the transformer is more noisy than normal, but the current intensity is not abnormal, it may be caused by the loosening of the clamp or the nut that clamps the iron core, causing the ferrite core to vibrate.

There is charging and discharging sound. If the transformer or surface causes partial discharge, there will be a "crackling" charging and discharging sound in the sound. When such a situation occurs, if at night or in rainy weather, dark blue corona discharge or flames can be seen near the transformer waterproof casing, it indicates that the porcelain parts are damaged or the equipment clips are in contact.

If the sound of the transformer has the sound of water boiling and the ambient temperature changes and the oil volume rises, it should be identified as a short-circuit fault caused by the winding of the transformer, or the tap power switch is not optimistic and overheated due to touch, and the transformer should be stopped.

If the sound of the transformer is mixed with asymmetrical pops, the dry type step up transformer or surface insulation has penetrated.
